Ingredients
Method
- Preheat oven according to brownie mix instructions.
- Generously grease 8-inch round pan, and add a circular parchment paper insert.
- Make and bake brownie mix according to instructions.
- Cool completely and carefully remove from the 8-inch pan. See above for troubleshooting tips for easy removal. You will want to remove by putting a plate on top of the opening in the pan, and then flip over.
- Remove parchment paper from the bottom of the brownies, which should be facing upwards. Invert onto a plate and then slide onto a serving tray so that the top of the brownies is now facing up.
- Dividing brownie into six equal pieces similar to a traditional pie or pizza shape, also as shown in pictures throughout this blog post.
- While the brownies cool, divide the frosting into three portions containing half of the frosting, one quarter, and another quarter increment. Add red food coloring to the half-sized increment. Keep one-quarter of the frosting white and add green to the other quarter. Put all frosting in individual piping bags.
- Use green, white, and red icing to create a watermelon look per the shown photos. Sprinkle a few mini chocolate chips on each slice.
