Ingredients
Method
- Pour cereal in a large bowl and set aside.
- In a saucepan, add peanut butter, white chocolate chips and butter (or coconut oil). Over medium low heat, melt and stir frequently to combine. As noted above, add more butter or coconut oil if needed to get the white chocolate mixture to a pourable consistency. Remove from heat and add vanilla.
- Pour white chocolate peanut butter sauce over the Rice Chex and gently stir to combine, being careful not to break the Rice Chex in the process.
- Put half of the white chocolate covered Rice Chex in large ziploc bag (I used a gallon-sized bag). Add 1 cup of powdered sugar. Gently shake to coat. Repeat. Note: Feel free to add a little bit more powdered sugar to be sure the chocolate Rice Chex are fully coated.
- Pour mixture onto a parchment paper covered baking sheet to set the white chocolate.
- Pour back into a large bowl to serve or top with your favorite Valentines candies and sprinkles.
Notes
Equipment:
Microwave-safe bowl
Ziplock bag or plastic bag
Depending on the brand of white chocolate you use and how runny or dry your peanut butter is, more melted butter or oil may be needed to get the pourable white chocolate sauce to a smooth and silky texture.
You may want to add more powdered sugar to coat the puppy chow to your liking.
