My journey into the world of gluten-free, dairy-free, and grain-free cooking began when I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s and several other autoimmune diseases. This life-altering experience ignited my mission to use food as medicine and find delicious, nutritious alternatives to support my health and well-being.

As a mom to three amazing kids, I’m constantly on the lookout for healthy recipes that not only nourish their growing bodies but also satisfy their picky palates. Finding the perfect balance between nutritious and delicious can be quite the adventure, but it’s a challenge I wholeheartedly embrace.

My kitchen is my laboratory, and I’m always eager to share my culinary discoveries with other parents who, like me, strive to make mealtime both wholesome and enjoyable for their little ones.

My family and I share a deep passion for travel and creating lasting memories together on various adventures. Some of our favorite destinations include Carmel, Sedona, Cabo San Lucas, Beaver Creek, and the beaches along the Gulf Coast side of Florida.

When we’re on vacation, we take the opportunity to explore new and healthy restaurants, embracing local flavors and ingredients from around the world. It’s during these journeys that we discover new culinary inspirations, which I always enjoy bringing back to my blog to share with you.

In addition to my culinary adventures, I’m also a part-time homeschool mom. Our kids attend a hybrid school, spending two-and-a-half days at home with me. This unique experience allows me to not only nourish their minds but also their bodies with wholesome, nutritious meals.

My Healing Journey

My health journey has been a profound transformation that began in 2010 when I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease. At that point, I decided to take control of my health and adopted a strict gluten-free diet, supplemented with the necessary nutrients to manage my condition. This approach successfully kept my Hashimoto’s in check for over seven years. However, after my third pregnancy, my body began to show signs of wear and tear, signaling that something needed to change. I embarked on the AIP (Autoimmune Protocol) protocol and made a startling discovery – several seemingly healthy foods I was consuming were actually causing significant inflammation in my body. Tomatoes and coffee had to go, and even chocolate and cashews had to be enjoyed sparingly. It was during this challenging phase of my health journey that I realized true healing requires getting to the root cause. My path led me to address issues related to mold exposure, Epstein Barr virus, and parasites. But above all, it was my renewed faith in Christ that became the ultimate source of strength and healing. Driven by my own experiences with autoimmune diseases, I am passionately dedicated to sharing healthy recipes with others who are on their journey to reduce inflammation and regain their well-being.
