Maple Candied Slivered Almonds
These can be used as salad topping or a a healthy snack!
Ingredients
- 1 cup slivered almonds
- 2 TBS maple syrup
- 1 TBS olive oil
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
- On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, add slivered almonds, maple syrup, olive oil, and salt. Use hands or tongs to toss to evenly coat. Spread out in an even.
- Bake for 3-5 minutes until the slivered almonds start to brown. Remove from oven and stir, trying to push browned slivered almonds to the center to give the outer almonds a chance to brown. Note: The almonds on the outer edges brown quicker.
- Bake for another 1-2 minutes. If needed, stir again and return to oven. Repeat step 4 until browned to your liking.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before adding to salad or enjoying as a snack.
